National Spinning joins the textile community in remembering Duke Kimbrell

Thursday, October 23rd, 2014

National Spinning joins the textile community in mourning the passing of Duke Kimbrell, chairman of Parkdale Mills.  Duke’s hard work, business acumen, and innovative initiatives transformed the entire textile industry, helping the US economy and the many individuals associated with Parkdale in the process.  Duke’s personality and spirit touched thousands in a positive way, including many of us here at National Spinning.  For more on Mr. Kimbrell, please click here.

We at National Spinning are pleased to work alongside Parkdale in sustaining and promoting the US textile industry, which strengthens communities and contributes greatly toward our domestic economic well-being.  Our condolences to Duke’s family and the Parkdale Mills community.

National Spinning’s management group and Board of Directors will both meet during the week of October 13 at our Burlington, NC dyeing facility.  There we will review year-to-date results for all divisions, forecasts for Q4/2014, and plans for 2015. Among the topics to be covered are inventory control, product profitability analysis, new product development, market development, and capital projects.  We look forward to productive sessions and the opportunity for formal and informal interaction.
